A short video of Shana laying on the couch last night. Close-ups of the belly. Enjoy.

A bit slow, but at least no King J appearances.

Only 8 days from today until the due date. This morning I walked 3 miles and did a bunch of squats and lunges in an attempt to loosen up the baby and shake it out. I've resigned my impatience in favor of enjoying the quiet and uninterrupted sleep. Jon and I just wrote the list of contents for our hospital bag. Among the essentials such as Tucks medicated pads, a fan, and shampoo, we're also bringing some movies and the lap top in case the hours drag on. I thought about make-up but then realized I don't wear make-up and it would probably be silly to try it at the hospital. This coming Friday will be my last day of work, baby or not. Work has been very busy which is a good distraction at times. But at this point I just want to "be" without thinking so hard, an unavoidable consequence of my job.

August 22

Today Shana said she is feeling fine 60% of the time. The other 40% she said we won't talk about. Lots of painful kicking and squirming. I think its getting pretty tight in there.

Megan Flynn, Shana's good college friend and pregnancy partner here in Portland gave birth to a beautiful baby boy today at about 6 am. Riley Kennefick Flynn (I've probably misspelled several of those names, sorry). 7 pounds 9 ounces. Mom and baby are doing great. Shana has a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and we plan to visit the new family in the hospital. We are both at the same hospital and we thought we might be hospital-mates. But Megan was pretty serious about Shana not going before her. But I guess that's out now.

Brett is here visiting now. He is here until the 5th of September. Good chance he'll see the little guy/girl before he goes. I know Shana is desperately hoping it doesn't go past then. Shana is getting a massage right now. Her 2nd in less than a week. I think she is a junky. I bought her a massage pad for her birthday last week. She lays on it for hours now.

Well I'll get some more pictures up soon. We've got some new Dunkerdoodle pictures. They are so cool, it really doesn't do them justice as digital photos, but you get the idea. Hope everyone enjoyed the photos of Shana's undies. More to come...

King J /Test video

I am attempting to test the video again. I have some footage of our crazy neighbor, who calls himself "King J". He had been a real nuisance and we started taking footage to see if we had anything to bring to the police. Thankfully, after some mediation/neighborhood meetings between him and us last fall, he has been quiet as a mouse all summer. This has been such a great surprise with the pregnancy and all. Check it out for a laugh if it works. I think you just click on the link below:
