Back home with Wally

Now Wilson is back home in Portland, playing with Wally, taking afternoon naps, and spending the days with his wonderful Nanny Gabby.

Christmas in Grafton

What a great trip home for the holiday. Wilson had so much fun with his grandparents and aunts and uncles. He got to meet his new little cousin, Isabella. Scott and Miranda are busy with their little bundle of joy. The flight home and back is getting more and more difficult. He is such a busy body, wanting to run around and squirming all over.

He definitely loved ripping open the presents. Lots of time in the pool room, running around the edges and swimming with his Dad. His great auntie Martha and her daughter and son in law Becca and Scott made it to Grafton too. He spent lots of time with his Uncle Logan, chasing around Grandpa and Grandma Thompson's house. During the week he was home he was so excited he skipped his afternoon nap every day. What an adventure!

Snow in Portland!

We had a taste of winter in Portland this year. This was only the beginning of some serious snow. The most snow Portland has seen in 40 years! People out here definitely are not used to driving on ice and snow. The city shut down for a few days before we left due to a few inches of snow. We left for NoDak just before the serious snow came, up to 3 feet over the week. This totally paralyzed the city. The garbage wasn't picked up, and even the mail stopped being delivered!!! Pathetic! It's all melted now, but the mountain is rocking.

Bananas

The kid loves bananas. "Nana" was his second word, after "Daddy" of course.

Wilson's First Haircut

Wilson finally had his first haircut on Dec. 7. He was getting a lot of compliments on his long hair, but it was getting a little ridiculous. Here are two slide shows comparing before the haircut and during.

Wilson's First Steps

Wilson took his first steps at the end of October, at about 13-14 months. He was a little slow to walk, but he's on the move now. He is wearing his Grafton Spoilers jump suit his Grandma Kim gave him.

He also took his first rides in the bike carrier after 1 year. He is not a big fan of the helmet, but seems to ignore it once he's cruising down the street.

He's also carrying his plastic knife his Auntie Daynia gave to him for his first birthday as part of a camping kit. This knife was recently confiscated at the Fargo, ND airport by TSA. Apparently "Replicas" are not allowed and he looked a little dangerous. The don't mess around in Fargo.
